Engineering Club

The Engineering Club will promote key skills that are important for engineers to demonstrate: problem-solving, critical thinking, technical knowledge, creativity and leadership through project-based learning. Students will have the opportunity to learn about civil (bridges, buildings, highways), electrical (electrical equipment, power stations), mechanical (turbines, robots), biomedical (medical devices, prosthetics), aerospace (aviation systems, rockets), chemical (medicines & food), software (design, development & testing software applications) and environmental engineering (sustainability, waste disposal systems). Guest speakers will also bring real world knowledge to their experience.

Engineering Club for 5th–8th students will meet on Tuesdays in the Makerspace from 3:30–4:45 p.m. in January–May 2025:

  • April 1, 8, 15, 22, 29
  • May 6 (backup date)

Reminder to students: bring laptops fully charged and/or with a power cable!
