This morning the Fifth Class teachers, Fifth Class parents, Mrs. Renken, D.A.R.E. Officer Sternberg, Capt. Akers and Lt. Wilson all joined me in congratulating our Fifth Class students for having successfully completed their D.A.R.E. program.

In my closing remarks, I mentioned a theme which is the essence of Sacred Heart education: Treating ourselves in healthy ways FLOWS from our KNOWING that we and God are deeply, interiorly connected.
If we believe that and even experience that (in prayer and in Eucharist) then we will act as God would act, not only to ourselves, but to others.
This is my deepest hope, not only for our D.A.R.E. graduates, but for ALL of us as we all participate in this education named after the Heart of Christ,
