Alexandra Sanchez-Little ’06, Director of Admissions, has fond memories as an Academy student and enjoyed Congé as an adult this year. Spring is a busy time for Admissions and she is eager to share Academy experiences, traditions and student perspectives with prospective families.

At the beginning of the year, I shared that I was excited to see the Academy in 2025 and hear your experiences and stories. I have truly enjoyed observing all the advancements made since my time in these halls as a student and witnessing the beloved traditions still being so ecstatically enjoyed by current students and families.

On Tuesday, the students celebrated Congé, and I was overjoyed to see 8th graders leading the school in a fun day of activities. I eagerly anticipated Congé as a student and I still remember being in my 8th grade Social Studies class writing an essay about the Cuban Missile Crisis when Mrs. Purtell came to tell us that it would be Congé. For my classmates and me, that meant putting all school work aside and preparing to announce (and lead!) a day of fun for the entire school! It brings me joy and gratitude that these memories are carried on and years from now your children will be reminiscing like I do.

Thank you to each of you who have shared stories like these with me about your Academy experience. They are so valuable in communicating with prospective families. Last week I listened as one of our Student Ambassadors shared his view on Goal 1: a personal and active faith in God during a tour and after being so impressed with his words I feel I can now share his firsthand experience with families when he is not present on a tour with me. This means so much to prospective families.

This school year we have had 130 inquiries, more than 40 tours, and we currently have 31 new students enrolled for the 2025-2026 school year. Thank you to those who have referred a family! Word of mouth continues to lead in how prospective families hear about our school. As a reminder, we do offer a referral bonus of $1,000. To learn more, click here.

Prospective families are consistently asking for ways to get to know our community. When families experience our community, they feel a sense of connection. Consider inviting a family to join you at Chemin or your neighbors to attend the Easter Egg Hunt. All are welcome.

Thank you for your continued support in helping our community grow!
