“Four Important Conversations to have with our Young Adolescents…
…and How to Back Up our Words with Actions” This will be the topic of a 7 p.m. presentation on Thursday, Feb. 18 by Amy Maus, MSW, LCSW, of West County Psychological Associates. All Academy parents—and anyone else who may be interested—are invited to attend. The presentation will be especially helpful for 4th-8th Class parents.
In Our Prayers
One of our young alums, Jessica Medley, Class of 2008, passed away on Saturday. The wake will take place Wednesday, Feb. 3 at Baue Funeral Home, Cave Springs, and the funeral on Thursday, Feb. 4 at St. Cletus Catholic Church. Student Art Exhibit at Foundry Art Centre
Academy student artwork will be on display Feb. 21 through March 6 in the Baue Family Art Gallery at the Foundry Art Centre (our neighbor down the hill at 520 North Main). On Sunday, March 6, there will be a reception with punch and cookies from 1–3 p.m., after which exhibitors may take their artwork home. Plan to visit the exhibit!
Educating through Relationships
All are invited to the second presentation in this year’s Sacred Heart Spirituality and Education Speakers Series at Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School on Friday, Feb. 5. Recycle Your Old Electronics January 23
EarthWorks, ASH’s campus sustainability club, is partnering with Spectrum Ecycle to host an electronics recycling drive at ASH on Saturday, January 23 from 9 a.m. to noon. All electronics collected will be refurbished, dismantled and combined with other parts for reuse, or recycled in a safe way to keep materials out of landfills. There is a $10 charge for each old television/computer monitor; all other items are taken at no cost. Please do not bring light bulbs, batteries, smoke detectors, or other appliances. READ MORE.

Admissions Open House
Educating with love has been the mission of the Academy of the Sacred Heart for nearly 200 years! St. Philippine Duchesne’s school, begun by the Society of the Sacred Heart in 1818, continues to be a second home for children in Pre-K through 8th grades.
If you’d like to learn more about the Academy of the Sacred Heart, join us for our Winter Open House on Thursday, Jan. 21 at 9 a.m. Presentations by Sister Glavin and Mrs. Renken will be followed by student-led tours of the school, with time for questions afterward. Helping Hands
Provide the gift of warmth this holiday season! With cold weather setting in, the Social Justice committee is collecting coats, hats, gloves, blankets, scarves and mittens for a group called Helping Hands for the Holidays. This collection will benefit those in need in the St. Charles community. Ends December 8.
