Give STL Day on May 3, 2016
The Academy will be participating in Give STL Day on Tuesday, May 3. This third annual day of giving sponsored by the Greater St. Louis Community Foundation will support the work of hundreds of non-profits in the St. Louis area. Support Sacred Heart education and the Academy’s mission of educating and inspiring hearts and minds of young people! St. Madeleine Sophie Plays
The Sixth Class will present their annual play about the life of St. Madeleine Sophie Barat, foundress of the Society of the Sacred Heart, at 9 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. Thursday, April 28 for 3rd–8th Class students.

The Archdiocese of St. Louis is pleased to host the 2017 Convention & Expo of the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) at The America’s Center from April 18-20, 2017. Loving Remembrance
With sorrow we share that Derek Griffitts, Academy Class of 2012 and a senior at Lutheran High School, has lost his battle with cancer, dying on Saturday, April 2. Funeral arrangements can be found here. We extend our deepest sympathy to the Griffitts family—Harry, Denise and Lindsey—and the promise of prayers on their behalf.

Sacred Heart Spirituality Presentation
All are invited to the third and final presentation in this year’s Sacred Heart Spirituality and Education Speakers Series at Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School on Friday, March 11, when Sister Maureen Glavin will present “Saint Madeleine Sophie’s Vision Today: Growth Into Freedom.” Coffee and refreshments at 9:30 a.m. with prayer and presentation beginning at 9:45 a.m. Closing prayer at 11 a.m.

Karate Kids’ Night Out!
A GIFT-GATHERING FUND RAISER FOR CHEMIN DE FER
Are you looking for something to engage your kids and get them out of the house? Why not bring them to KARATE KIDS’ NIGHT OUT!
Children of all ages are welcome to join in for karate lessons and a screening of the movie “The Karate Kid.” Siblings and friends are welcome, as well. Please bring a donation of a $20 gift card to a sporting goods store (per child).
