These two English women, Mabel Digby and Janet Erskine Stuart, were successively Superiors General of the Society of the Sacred Heart. Mother Digby led the Society from 1895–1911, and Mother Stuart succeeded her from 1911–1914. They were very different personalities but both were converts to Roman Catholicism as adults, having been brought up Anglican. Sister Gimber will explore their spiritual paths and teachings.
