It was a beautiful summer evening to celebrate our alums for Congé Reunion! More than 100 alums and guests attended our annual gathering to recognize reunion classes, renew connections and share Sacred Heart camaraderie. Prior to mass, a packed Cribbin Hall Library was the site for Jane Cannon’s preview of her forthcoming book, Two Hundred Years: A Legacy of Love and Learning. Guests were treated to dozens of images from the archives as well as little-known facts and touching stories.
The recognition program followed Mass in the Shrine with members from the Classes of ’52, ’57, ’62, ’67, ’72 (12th and 8th), ’77 and ’82 represented. With many of her classmates in attendance, Barb Luczkowski ’72 (12th) was presented with the 2017 St. Philippine Duchesne Award (to read her tribute, click here). As Sister Maureen Glavin was completing her final year as Head of School, Alumni Association President Charla Niccoli Dziedzic surprised her with a gift in gratitude for her support of alumni activities during her tenure.
Guests then headed to the Griesedieck Conference Room, historic areas and front yard to enjoy a cocktail buffet and the company of their Sacred Heart friends. Alums lingered, catching up with each other, taking impromptu tours and enjoying the lovely summer evening.
Thanks to all who attended. Be sure to mark your calendars for Saturday, June 9 for Congé Reunion 2018!
