Feast of St. Philippine Duchesne
November 15, 2012 - November 16, 2012
St. Philippine Duchesne founded the first Sacred Heart school in North America at St. Charles in 1818. Her feast day is Nov. 18, the date on which she died. She is honored for her saintly and courageous life on the American frontier. The children at St. Charles are especially proud of the close ties to Mother Duchesne, and her feast day is one of the most special celebrations of the year at the Academy.
