This week we have had four visitors at the Academy helping us with a Religion Curriculum review. They are:
- Dr. Noel Barrett, retired theology teacher and former chair of the Villa Duchesne theology department
- Meg Beugg, campus minister at SLU High
- Fr. Francis Hein, Benedictine monk, priest and theology instructor at Priory
- Stacy Henning, Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill theology teacher
They have been visiting classes, reviewing our Religion Curriculum unit maps, and engaging in conversations with our religion instructors, students, and social justice and Goal III planners. Tomorrow at our In-Service they will be meeting with religion teachers and academic administrators to provide feedback as a step in the review process. In April this same process with other educators will occur in a review of our Math Curriculum.
The coming week is one of the most important in our yearly faith journey. Commemorating the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus during Holy Week invites us to look at our own lives and to trust in the Gospel message that death and pain are defeated by Hope and Love!
Wherever spring break takes you, I wish you joy and respite, and blessings on your Holy Week.
