SHCOG Visiting Team at ASH

The Society’s Sacred Heart Commission on Goals (SHCOG) ensures that each school in the Network is living the mission of Sacred Heart education as outlined in the Goals and Criteria. Every five years, the Commission calls schools to create and implement a self-study process. Input from parents, faculty and staff, students, board members and alumni is invited and valued, as together the school community reflects upon the Goals and how they could be lived more fully.The 2013-2014 school year was Year 1 (in the 5-year cycle) for the Academy in St. Charles. After a series of dialogues took place among constituency and cross-constituency groups in the early months of 2014, our Self-Study Steering Committee wrote a summary document that was submitted to the Head of SHCOG on October 1. A Visiting Team of five Sacred Heart educators from other Network schools will be with us November 15–19 to continue the conversations, reflect with our school community, and offer fresh perspectives.
