Campaign Leadership

A message from John Brooks
Campaign Chair

We look to the future with this campaign, which is a celebration of what the Academy represents and recognition of the responsibility we all have to see that it continues. The evolution of this campaign took shape over the past eight years. The efforts, to date, of so many in the school community have been tremendous.

These efforts involved the donation of Time, Talent and Treasure of dedicated members of the Academy family: teachers, staff members, administrators, parents, former parents, grandparents, students, alumni, Trustees and friends.

  • They gave us their Time: by attending countless meetings, visioning sessions and personal interviews.

  • They gave us their Talents: by helping formulate our strategic plan, our long-range facility plan, and shaping the campaign vision.

  • And, they gave us their Treasure: by making early-stage financial donations to kick-start our funding.
We now invite you to be a part and join those who have been so generous in their support of the Academy of the Sacred Heart.

A message from Eric Schaefer
Campaign Co-Chair

As with any institution, there is a responsibility to ensure its place in the future and, as the Academy body, we have the opportunity and thus the responsibility to continue laying the foundation for the next 100 years.

Just as we are today “enjoying the benefits” of the gifts of time, talent and treasure that the ASH community put down over the past 195 years, we must do the same, and have the same resolve to carry this vibrant school tradition forward—for our children, our children’s children and beyond.

A message from the Campaign Cabinet

In preparing for the launch of the Capital Campaign, we spoke with a number of alumni regarding their experience at the Academy. They consistently state that the greatest value of Sacred Heart education is realized long after graduation.

Character, respect for one’s self and others, critical thinking, ability to organize and analyze work, a strong sense of self and an abiding faith are all themes which are consistently expressed. Just as we’ve benefited from the actions of those who’ve come before us, we too have a responsibility to invest in the future of the Academy for generations to come.

Where we are today is in many ways a leading indicator of where we’ll be tomorrow, but the actions we take--and investments we make today--help steer us towards where we can be – where we should be.

Through this campaign, we link the legacy of the past with a vision for the future. With a shared commitment to the school’s endowment, programs and campus, we build a model which gives rise to inspired, confident and courageous young adults. This was St. Philippine’s mission 195 years ago, and it’s ours as well.
