Mrs. Metcalf, our school librarian, invites all our students to enjoy a good book.
The physical environment is beautiful, inviting and inspiring. This section of our school was a chapel for the Religious of the Sacred Heart many years ago, and is named after Mother Catherine Cribbin.
Lower School students are scheduled to visit the library on a weekly basis. Not only do they have the opportunity to choose a few more books for individual reading, but they experience a ‘library curriculum’ which broadens their Language Arts foundation.
Stuart Center students (our Seventh and Eighth Classes) use this home-base before school as they arrive to enjoy each other’s company.
Seventh and Eighth Classes have their student-led assemblies in the library.
Computers and quiet spaces are available for individual work and research for our older students during the school day, as needed.
Surrounding our students with beauty and inspiration are Sacred Heart educational goals. Why? Because we know this is one means helping our students travel the road of growth.
Cribbin Hall Library is a place where beauty and inspiration abound!
